Got tired of seeing something that is almost a year old now, so decided I'd make a new entry. Ended up stationed at Barksdale AFB in Northern Lousiana, of all places.  Joined the Air Force to see the world, and ended up less than 400 miles from my parents house, and in the same state no less!  Military life has it's perks, but also it's downs.  I do like a guaranteed check on the 1st and 15th, however still not a morning person, having to be at work for 6:45 is killer to me still.  I get to spend the next 6-9 months working on getting rated at the Tower on base, it has been interesting so far to say the least.  Nothing like a lot of confiden

Nothing like a... hurricane!   Since I live 40mi North of New Orleans, i get to look forward to wonderful, wonderful conditions!   Just got hit with the first band of rains, heading out tomorrow morning @ 4:30am, but not going to catch the pre-contraflow.   So, both lanes of I-12 are going to be heading in 1 direction, joyous wonderful fun! The most I've ever driven before is 320 miles in clear weather, low traffic.   I am looking forward to the bumper to bumper slow moving traffic with occasional rain tomorrow, what fun!   Off to Nachitoches for my little brother, and then I'm off to Ruston.   We're predicted to get hit with sustained win

75 Days. then I get to pack my stuff up and go to basic training for the Air force.  College was a miserable experience for me, got so dis interested I ended up not even showing to my finals at the end of the year.  but oh well, we learn from our life. Going into the US Air Force to be an Air Traffic Controller.   Took a test to try and be a Linguist (translator) but missed the cutoff by 6 points.  Looking forward to moving out of my house and finally starting my life, been at home for only three months, and already ready to kill myself because of my parents.   Family, gotta love them, but gotta hate them at times.
